Alright, so let’s talk about Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. It’s coming out soon—thank goodness, because I’ve been itching to dive into something new. I mean, how many times can I replay Dark Souls before my brain melts, right? Anyway, back to Wuchang. Leenzee, this developer from China, is bringing their A-game with a Ming Dynasty RPG. Cool twist, huh?
Seems like folks are buzzing about it in a good way every time they show it off. But now it’s crunch time, and they’re dropping some last nuggets of info.
Oh, and for those who gotta know, it’s hitting PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on July 24. Plus, it’s a day one Game Pass deal on PC and Xbox, so that’s neat. But what about running it? If your rig’s older than, I don’t know, your favorite band’s last hit album, you’re probably worried. Well, spoiler alert: it’s not going to fry your machine like some other games (looking at you, Black Myth: Wukong).
They’ve shared some specs — minimal and recommended. But, annoyingly, they’re leaving out framerate and resolution details. Like, come on, how am I supposed to know if my experience will be smooth or stuttery? They did say both specs were tested with DLSS/FSR, which seems important. I’m taking it to mean, “Chill out, you’re good.”
So, the requirements. Here’s the lowdown:
Minimum Specs:
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit.
- CPU: Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600.
- RAM: 16GB (dual channel’s best).
- GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB or AMD RX 580 8GB.
- DirectX: 12.
- Storage: 60GB. HDD works, but SSD’s better. Upscaling tech is your friend here.
Recommended Specs:
- OS: Windows 10/11 64-bit.
- CPU: Intel i7-9700 or AMD Ryzen 5 5500.
- RAM: Again, 16GB dual channel.
- GPU: RTX 2070, AMD RX 5700 XT, or Intel Arc A750.
- DirectX: 12.
- Storage: 60GB. SSD a must.
Again, upscaling in play. Your PC probably won’t burst into flames. Probably.
Now, launch times. I figured this would be helpful because trying to decipher time zones can be a migraine waiting to happen.
