Man, so Intel’s basically giving up on this Deep Link thing. They’re not updating it anymore. I got this from some chatter on GitHub, not, you know, a big official announcement or anything. Kind of sneaky, huh? Zack-Intel (some guy working there) just dropped this bombshell in a thread. Yep, Deep Link, launched alongside Arc Alchemist in 2022, is pretty much history now.
A user – SapphireDrew, sounds like a cool name, right? – hit up this GitHub thread because they were having trouble with Deep Link on OBS Studio. And it’s not OBS’s fault. No, sir. Turns out, it’s all about the drivers. Eventually, Zack-Intel piped up a whole month later to say, “Sorry, mate. No more updates.”
Anyway, folks with Arc Alchemist graphics cards, who thought they’d get all those sweet performance boosts, might be a smidgen ticked off. You’d expect Intel to make some noise about discontinuing features, but nope, just Zack sliding into a thread.
So, what was Deep Link supposed to do anyway? Enhance stuff like gaming and streaming by getting CPUs and GPUs to play nice together. Features like Dynamic Power Share and Hyper Encode were the big selling points. But now, no updates mean it’s gonna get janky, especially if you’re rocking Intel hardware. AMD and NVIDIA peeps, you’re outta luck; it never worked for ya anyway.
Kinda feels like driving a car and suddenly, poof, no more GPS updates. You’ll still get somewhere, just, maybe not where you planned. Thank you, random internet source… for keeping us in the loop when Intel wouldn’t. Oy vey.
