Preview of Wildgate Community Scheduled for May 9!

We’re totally excited—like, bouncing-off-the-walls kind of excited—to share the Wildgate Community Preview with all you Xbox Insiders on those shiny Xbox Series X|S consoles. So, mark your calendars: it kicks off on May 9 at 9 AM PDT (or 17:00 BST if you’re across the pond). And guess what? There’s still room! Jump in now and snag a spot. Think about it: battling in outer space with your fellow adventurers. I mean, who doesn’t want to walk—or float, whatever—with a few epic stories?

So, What’s the Buzz About?

Epic Spaceship Battles: Okay, picture this: high-tech cannons blazing and clever traps. Like something straight out of a sci-fi novel, right? But don’t get too comfy—people can mess with your ship just when you think you’ve got it all under control. Plans have a way of flying out the airlock. What then? You wing it, naturally.

New Adventures, Every Time: No two games are ever the same. Seriously, every match is this crazy new puzzle, thanks to an ever-changing map called the Reach. It’s like a cosmic treasure hunt, except the treasure might just be bragging rights. Or you know, not flying back with nothing—awkward.

Choose Your Prospector: Whether you fancy yourself a brazen pilot or a trickster, there’s a path for you. I mean, space crimes? All the cool kids are doing it. Pick your character, use their special skills, and dive in.

Exploring the Reach: Oh man, the Reach sounds wild—cosmic storms, dangerous beasts. If that doesn’t scream adventure, I don’t know what does. And treasure that could make anyone rich? Yeah, I’m in.

Outgun or Outrun: So, there’s this thing called the Artifact. It’s supposedly the most valuable… well, anything anywhere. Snatch it, fly away, or fight till you’re the last one standing. Honestly, just stay alive.

Playtest Schedule:

Start playing on Friday, May 9th at 9 AM PDT (17:00 BST). All good things wrap up by Monday, May 12th at 5 PM PDT (or May 13th, 01:00 BST, if you like staying up late).

Fire up that Xbox Series X|S of yours, launch the Xbox Insider Hub (and if you don’t have it, go download it from the Store, duh), head over to Previews > Wildgate Community Preview, and hit Join. Simple, right? Once you’re in, celebrate momentarily—well, until everything’s ready. Then you’ll be locked in for all the action-packed goodness.
