After a week of absolute chaos, it’s time to return to what has, unfortunately, become the usual routine on the original Switch.

In the whirlwind of activities, I almost forgot to mention: Namco’s Assault Plus slipped through the cracks in the Archives last week. Now let’s talk about last week; it’s best described with the phrase: “OK, so THAT happened.” With the excitement from the Switch 2 Direct and the ensuing debacles—mainly due to 20500—this week’s quieter lineup of eShop releases seems almost comforting. Yet, there’s a flicker of excitement worth noting. Star Overdrive stands out with its hovercraft-centric gameplay teased in a previous Direct. It’s hard to believe that was only about a week and a half ago—it feels much longer. This week also brings Battlefield Waltz from Idea Factory/Otomate, translated by IFI. Before diving in, I suggest waiting for any insights on potential day-one patches—I definitely will.

Also catching my eye this week are the “Promise Mascot Agency”, a new installment of Snow Bros., and a classic maze game from 1983 called EggConsole’s Pyramid Warp, which should be quite tempting for players outside Japan.

### North America

Here’s what’s coming up. Battlefield Waltz arrives Tuesday at $49.99/$75.60 CAD. This Friday, Big Buck Hunter: Ultimate Trophy launches for $39.99/$49.99 CAD. Star Overdrive is listed at $34.99/$42.99. Snow Bros. 2 Special shows up at $29.99/$42.99, and for $24.99/$32.50, you can check out Promise Mascot Agency. Pets and Friends and EggConsole Pyramid Warp MSX grace us with their presence at $6.99/$7.29 and $6.49/$7.34, respectively. As for the bargain-hunters, Little Droid and Skull Pirates: Adventures are priced at $5.99/$8.79 and $4.99/$6.49, respectively.
