Scottish game developer, formerly known as NoCode — now, well, say hello to Screen Burn. Why the change? Honestly, it seems like they’re reflecting on who they’ve turned into since that whole “no coder” schtick. Back in 2015, they kicked things off with the quirky idea of doing games with zero code. Bizarre, right? But they ended up creating stuff like Stories Untold and Observation.
Fast forward a bit, and here they are, collaborating with Konami for Silent Hill: Townfall. Guess when you get to rub shoulders with big names, things evolve. Anyway, they’re saying: “Lots of coders here now. We couldn’t do without them. Times change, right?” I mean, it got kind of hilarious since “No Code” became this buzzword in tech, like for app dev and courses and whatnot. Their inbox was probably drowning!
So they pondered — if not NoCode, then what? Apparently, the answer lurked in old TV screens and floppy disks. Nostalgia hits hard, huh? They’ve always been about those retro vibes. Games that cling to your memory, like the ghost of that old arcade game that burned itself onto the screen forever. What a trip.
