It’s like, Doug Jung, the guy behind 2016’s Star Trek Beyond? Yeah, he’s jumping on this Mass Effect TV show bandwagon. Wild, right? So, Deadline spilled the beans, saying he’s not just writing it—he’s like this showrunner guy too. Oh, and remember The Cloverfield Paradox from 2018? Yeah, that was him. Plus, he scribbled down a couple of episodes for Netflix’s Mindhunter—crime stuff, you know? Busy dude.
And get this, he’s also tangled up with Apple+’s show about history, Chief of War. Writing, producing, probably directing his coffee break, too. Whoa.
Jung’s not flying solo, though. Dan Casey and Michael Gamble from the Mass Effect camp at Electronic Arts are producing this shindig with him. So it’s not a one-man show, which is, like, pretty smart because, you know, teamwork makes the dream work or whatever they say.
Amazon, out of nowhere, gave the green light to this Mass Effect thing last November 2024. But if you’re wondering when it hits the screens? Your guess is as good as mine—nothing yet. Meanwhile, they did drop that Fallout TV series recently. Critics ate it up, so they’re already rolling on season two this year. Surprising, right?
