PlayStation.Blog: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Arrive April 2

The original Battle Royale map, Verdansk, is making a much-anticipated comeback! Get ready for an exhilarating launch event as you dive back into this classic map. With gameplay that pays homage to its roots and beloved mechanics that fans adore, you can expect a host of exciting features making their way to the game.

Kicking off on April 2 at 9 AM PT, Season 3 will introduce fresh Multiplayer and Zombies content for those playing on PS4 and PS5 in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Then, just 24 hours later, Call of Duty: Warzone will reopen the gates to Verdansk on April 3 at 9 AM PT.

### Verdansk Revamped

It feels just like old times: 150 players will descend, guided by the original announcer, and experience intense firefights right from freefall, all accompanied by the original Infil cinematics before you’re off and running.

You’ll find familiar game mechanics such as the Original Supply Boxes, Floating Loot, and Armor Satchels, alongside current Loadouts and Perks. High Value Loot Zones scattered throughout the map promise some top-tier gear as well.

There are also quality-of-life improvements to look forward to in Warzone. These include Squad Redeploys at Buy Stations, detailed inspection of weapon attachments, comprehensive death recaps, a handy HUD flag indicating when your Loadout can be purchased, and plenty more.

### Modes, Events, and Rewards

Dive into an array of game modes including returning favorites and new additions:

In addition, the new Battle Royale Casual playlist is launching, featuring 28 players alongside up to 120 bots. This new mode offers the perfect opportunity to hone your skills before jumping into the main event.

#### Return to Verdansk Launch Event

Reassemble your squad and revisit your old playgrounds in an eventful homecoming. The Return to Verdansk Event is packed with challenges across 12 unique zones within Verdansk. Break into all 12 safes to get your hands on the notorious Kali Sticks melee weapon.

#### Unlock the Kilo 141

Back by popular demand, the Kilo 141 Assault Rifle is set to wreak havoc in Verdansk once more. Simply log in to Call of Duty: Warzone after Season 3 kicks off on April 2, and it’s yours to keep in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone.

And it doesn’t stop there! In addition to the Kali Sticks and Kilo 141, two more classic Verdansk-era weapons— the CR-56 AMAX Assault Rifle and HDR Sniper Rifle—can be yours as you progress through the Season 3 Battle Pass.

April 2 marks the release of some thrilling new features in Black Ops 6. The action heats up with multiplayer maps like the fan-favorite Firing Range and game modes such as Demolition and Sharpshooter. Starting at 9 AM PT on April 2, new content for Multiplayer, Zombies, and the general game in Black Ops 6 is available. Warzone players can access their content on all platforms 24 hours later, at 9 AM PT on April 3.

By pre-loading the game, you can dive into Black Ops 6 as either a premium player or through a Free Trial during a 24-hour countdown. This is your chance to experience everything Season 3 has to offer, including the opportunity to earn new weapons like the Kilo 141, CR-56 AMAX, and HDR.
