Sometimes the reasons are mundane, like illegible handwriting, but often there’s something much stranger at play.
At first glance, your role in DEAD LETTER DEPT. might seem straightforward. You simply retype addresses and messages on undelivered mail—a simple data entry task, right? Yet, as you dive in, some letters begin to raise red flags. You can’t shake the feeling that some of these messages are oddly personal, maybe even directed at you.
Alone in the grim confines of the warehouse, your only connection to the outside world is the very mail you’re tasked with sorting. As the work drags on, the atmosphere becomes unsettling and dreamlike. The letters start to weave strange narratives, and the paranoia creeps in—you’re convinced you’re being watched. Sure, paying rent is important, but is it worth sacrificing your peace of mind?
The game blends a typing-style gameplay where you input prompts to unravel damaged images and unveil the backstories of those who lost their correspondence. Each playthrough offers a unique experience, promising countless letters full of secrets waiting to be unearthed.
